Medical-Surgical RN — Travel Contract | Wichita, KS
This 13–16 week travel assignment places you on a general medical-surgical and observation unit, caring for a broad adult patient population across a range of acuity levels. The unit handles medical and surgical admissions as well as observation status patients, requiring strong assessment skills and comfort managing a varied patient census.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (4 x 12 Nights)
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
- Start Date: November 8, 2026
- Location: Wichita, KS

- Active RN license (Nursys verification)

Onboarding Requirements
- Color vision screening
- Core competencies assessment
- EKG exam
- Point-of-care glucose testing training (StatStrip)
- Immunization records: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza
- TB testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
- Respiratory fit test

- 11-panel drug screen
- Education and employment verification
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced Med-Surg RN comfortable with observation and general medical-surgical patients
- Confident working independently in a fast-paced night shift environment
- Current, unencumbered RN license (Kansas or compact state)
