Night Shift Medical-Surgical & Rehab RN
The Opportunity
Join the medical-surgical and inpatient rehabilitation unit for 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) on an every-other-weekend rotation. This 6-week contract offers the chance to care for patients across orthopedic and medical-surgical specialties in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Your Patients & Clinical Scope
What You'll Do
- Administer IVs, manage Foley catheters, perform dressing changes
- Monitor telemetry patients; communicate with off-site monitoring techs
- Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care technicians (assigned each shift), and respiratory therapy
- Float to other medical-surgical units as census needs require
What We're Looking For
- Active BLS certification
- Ortho experience preferred
- Strong telemetry and IV skills
- Flexibility and team orientation
Scheduling & Support
No self-scheduling, but flexibility is encouraged where possible. Guaranteed 48 hours per week. Comprehensive orientation includes 3 days of classroom instruction followed by 2 precepted floor shifts. Navy blue scrubs required (not provided).
