Post-Partum / Mother Baby RN — Travel Contract
Glendale, CA | 13-Week Contract | Nights
This travel opportunity is on an active Post-Partum unit supporting a high-volume obstetric service. The unit delivers care to mothers and newborns, including high-risk antepartum patients, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, and deliveries as early as 23 weeks gestation. Perinatology support is available on-site.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM or 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM rotation
- Every other weekend required (4 shifts per 4-week period)
- Holiday commitment: 1 major, 1 minor holiday
- No on-call requirement
- First to float between Post-Partum and L&D (not interchangeable unless NICU feeder/grower background)
Unit Scope
- Post-Partum couplet care; approximately 130 births per month, including 40–60 cesarean sections
- High-risk patient population including antepartum and hypertensive cases
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available around the clock
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- 2-shift unit-specific orientation
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Post-Partum experience required; prior travel experience preferred
- Active California RN license (or compact eligibility)
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP
- ACLS preferred
Contract Details
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 91 days)
