About the Role
Join the nutrition team at the facility providing comprehensive nutrition care across a diverse patient population. You'll work alongside a small, collaborative team delivering evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and patient education.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely nutrition screenings and assessments using established protocols
- Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams for at-risk patients
- Evaluate age-specific, developmental, and disease-specific nutritional needs
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care
- Monitor effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy interventions
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families
- Participate in competency assessments and chart audits
- Adhere to nutrition care guidelines and the Academy Code of Ethics
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent
- Completion of ACEND-accredited supervised practice program
- Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration)
- Licensed Dietitian in Texas
- Willingness to work at other facilities (in-person or remote as needed)
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of hospital clinical nutrition experience
- Experience with nutrition support
Schedule & Call
- Rotating on-call Saturdays only
- No Sunday coverage
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs or business casual
