Neuro Stepdown RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an RN for a neuro stepdown unit. You'll provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care, managing post-acute neurological conditions and monitoring for complications.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• Must work at least every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• 12 months of permanent RN experience in your specialty
• Active Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty (from the past 12 months; co-worker references not accepted)

Preferred Experience

• Progressive care or PCU background

Onboarding & Compliance

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; acceptable scores required on both
• Required pre-start modules (6–15 hours average, depending on specialty)
• BCI/FBI background check completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Drug screen and background screening requirements apply

Contract Terms

• You may extend for up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows, though the facility may waive this on a case-by-case basis
