Medical-Surgical Nurse – 12-Hour Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (7 AM – 7 PM) on a 12x3 schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification (required)
- NIH certification (required)
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
Schedule & Expectations
- Standard shift: 7 AM – 7 PM
- 12-hour days, 3 days per week
- Holiday commitment: You must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 of the 3 minor holidays (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)
Clinical Scope
You'll provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit, supporting patients across a range of diagnoses and recovery stages. Your role includes assessments, medication administration, wound care, patient education, and coordination with the interdisciplinary care team.
