Oncology RN – Infusion Clinic

Position Overview

Join the oncology infusion clinic as a Registered Nurse delivering chemotherapy and supportive care to adult patients with hematology and medical oncology diagnoses. This is a day-shift role with no call requirements and no weekend obligations.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:45 AM–5:15 PM)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Call/Weekend: None

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of oncology-specific nursing experience
• Current BLS/BCLS certification
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Card (required)
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact)
• Central line care experience
• First-time travelers welcome

Preferred

• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification

Clinical Scope

Staffing & Float

• May float between two clinic locations (approximately 20 minutes apart)
• No mandatory call or on-call requirement

Orientation & Start

• 8 hours of unit-specific orientation (varies by experience level)
• Hospital orientation week one
• Pre-start compliance modules required
• Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing

• Your own stethoscope
• Navy blue scrubs

Pre-Shift Requirements

• COVID-19 screening per facility protocol
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
