ICU Travel RN | Days | Lubbock, TX | 13-Week Contract

This high-acuity ICU cares for adult patients with complex, multi-system diagnoses including trauma, cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, and neurosurgical conditions. The unit supports a full range of critical interventions and is staffed with interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and social services.

Schedule & Contract Details

• 4x12-hour day shifts, 07:00–19:00
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 16, 2026
• 6 weekend shifts required over the contract period
• Must commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float requirement: ICU, Telemetry, or Med/Surg

Clinical Scope

• Patient population: Adults; diagnoses include trauma, CV surgery, neuro, and general surgery
• Procedures and skills required: ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, chest tube insertion/removal assistance, ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT, epicardial pacing wire management, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, ICP monitoring, pulmonary artery catheter monitoring, post-cardiac and post-neurosurgery care, ABG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience; travel experience required
• Active compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Dress Code

• Solid navy blue scrubs for licensed nursing personnel (no print tops)
