ICU RN — Travel Contract | Lubbock, TX

Days | 3x12 (07:00–19:00) | 13-Week Contract

This high-acuity ICU position serves an adult population with complex, multi-system diagnoses including trauma, cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, and neurosurgery. The unit is fast-paced and well-supported, with access to IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 6 weekend shifts expected across the contract
• Float requirement: ICU, Telemetry, or Med-Surg (including nearby sister facilities)
• No on-call required
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Clinical Scope

Candidates should have hands-on experience with:

• Ventilator management, chest tubes, CVLs, and arterial lines
• EVD and ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery care
• Post-cardiac surgery (direct OR admissions), CABG, TAVR, valve repair
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, CRRT/CVVHD
• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring including PA/Swan-Ganz lines
• Impella, IABP, and ECMO support

Required Certifications

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience; travel experience required
• Compact RN license must be active and in hand at time of submission
• 2 professional references covering the last 3 years

Dress Code

Solid navy blue scrubs for licensed nursing staff; print tops not permitted.
