Med Surg Tele

RN – Med/Surg Telemetry | Rochester, NY | 13-Week Contract

This Med/Surg Telemetry position is based in Rochester, NY and is open to both day and night shift candidates. Shifts are 3×12-hours on a rotating basis (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM), with an anticipated start date in mid-November 2026.

Schedule & Requirements

• 13-week contract, rotating day/night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required, as needed
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required at time of submission (NY is not a Compact state)
• BLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; acute care experience within the past 6 months required

Clinical Skills Required

• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Rapid Response and Code team activation
• Peripheral IV care and management, phlebotomy
• Nasal cannula and non-invasive oxygen/airway management
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Heparin protocols and blood product administration

Unit Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit; specific assignment confirmed at time of offer
• Floating required within the Med/Surg skillset
• Scrub color: any combination of navy blue and white

Additional Notes

• RTO requests must be submitted at time of application; no more than 10 days of RTO considered
• Pre-start orientation modules required; up to 5 hours are billable
