Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract
Apple Valley, CA | Mid Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM | 3x12-Hour | 13-Week Contract
This acute care Emergency Department serves a broad patient population — neonates through geriatrics — with a high daily census and robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services. The unit receives stroke and STEMI patients and manages the full spectrum of emergency diagnoses.
Schedule & Coverage
- Mid shift: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM
- Every-other-weekend coverage; may exceed to meet unit needs
- No call required
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- Potential float to nearby sister facilities
Clinical Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Comfortable with high-acuity presentations including stroke, STEMI, trauma, neuro, and ventilated patients
- Skills include , dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, procedural sedation, and IV vasopressor management
Certifications Required
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
Additional Details
- Scrub color: Navy blue
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Guaranteed hours: facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
- Compact license must be in hand at submission; no pending licenses accepted
