Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Apple Valley, CA
13-Week Contract | Nights 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12)
This acute care facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for an immediate opening on the night shift. The ED serves a broad patient population spanning neonates through geriatrics, managing all differential diagnoses with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services. The unit handles stroke and STEMI receiving cases.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required; may exceed to meet unit needs
- Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- No on-call required
- Facility may exercise one call-off per two-week pay period
Required Certifications
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of ED experience; first-time travelers considered
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, procedural sedation monitoring, central line care, and IV vasopressor management

- Valid compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront
