Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | Apple Valley, CA

13-Week Contract | Start ASAP

This acute care facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 13-week night shift contract. The ED manages a high-acuity, all-ages patient population — from neonates through geriatrics — with a broad scope of clinical presentations including stroke, STEMI, traumatic injuries, neurological emergencies, and all differential diagnoses.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend; may increase to meet unit needs
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Float to nearby sister facilities may be required

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS

Clinical Skills

• , IV access, phlebotomy
• Blood product administration, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation
• BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care
• ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Stroke and STEMI receiving capability

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ED experience; first-time travelers considered
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Electronic charting experience required
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
