Oncology RN – Hematology & Medical Oncology Infusion Clinic
The Opportunity
The facility's ambulatory infusion clinic is seeking an experienced Oncology RN to deliver chemotherapy and supportive care to adult patients (18+) with hematology and medical oncology diagnoses. You'll work in a modern infusion setting with 10 chairs designed to support patient comfort and safety.
Position Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekends: No weekend shifts required
- Float Expectation: Willing to float between two clinic locations approximately 20 minutes apart
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of oncology-specific nursing experience (1st-time travelers welcome)
- Current BLS/BCLS
- ONS Chemo/Biotherapy Card (required)
- Ability to administer chemotherapy and manage central lines/implanted lines
- North Carolina or Compact License
Preferred
- OCN certification
Unit Details
- Patient Population: Adults 18+ with hematology and medical oncology diagnoses
- Daily Volume: ~90 visits
- Clinical Scope: Chemotherapy administration, infusion management, patient education, and coordination of care
- Support Services: IV team, phlebotomy, pharmacy, and interpretation services available
- Orientation: 8 hours plus hospital orientation week one
