Charge NICU RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Charge NICU RN for a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. This is a night shift role (18:00–06:30) on a 13–26 week contract, with flexibility between 3x12 and 4x12 schedules.

Unit Overview

Clinical Scope

You will manage or assist with central lines, PICC lines, intubations, lumbar punctures, ROP exams, conscious sedation, therapeutic hypothermia, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, vasopressor titration, and ventilator management across multiple modes (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP). Experience with blood product administration, developmental care, breastfeeding support, and neonatal dosage calculations is expected.

Requirements

• 2+ years nursing experience; minimum 1 year NICU specialty
• BLS, NRP (Advanced preferred), PALS
• Compact license required at submission
• May float to mother/baby for couplet care if experienced

Scheduling

• Nights: 18:00–06:30
• Weekends: Every other, may exceed to meet unit needs
• Navy blue scrubs
• No on-call required
• One shift call-off allowed per 2 weeks
