Emergency Department Nurse – Day Shift

Shift & Schedule

13-week minimum contract

Minimum 4 weekend days per 6-week schedule (may increase to every other weekend)

24-hour orientation

About the Role

Clinical Responsibilities

• , IV starts, telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation
• Central line and chest tube management
• Assist with intubations and procedural sedation
• Blood product and vasopressor administration
• Psychiatric holds and violent behavior de-escalation
• Isolation precautions and infection control

Float Requirement

You'll float between the Emergency Department and Emergency Behavioral Health unit based on patient census and acuity.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years emergency nursing experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• Active RN license (NC or compact; pending OK at submission)
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, MOAB
• Must pass EKG testing within 48 hours of signing

Unit Culture

Team-based environment with strong call-off policy (strictly enforced). Must demonstrate commitment to facility behavioral expectations in all patient and staff interactions.
