ICU Nurse – 13-Week Contract
The Opportunity
The facility seeks an experienced ICU nurse for a 13-week assignment in a conglomerate critical care unit. You'll work a day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) caring for high-acuity medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients.
Clinical Scope
This role encompasses the full spectrum of critical care:
- Coronary interventions (TAVR, CABG, STEMI management)
- Cerebrovascular events (CVA, stroke)
- Respiratory support (mechanical ventilation, HFNC, management of respiratory failure and distress)
- Advanced hemodynamic support (IABP, Impella, TTM)
- Renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
- Post-surgical care including thoracotomy and CEA recovery
- Management of sepsis, DKA, GIB, CHF, ia, and hypoxic conditions
Requirements
- Minimum three years of ICU experience
- Current RN license (Nursys verification required)
- Ability to float between ICU and Step Down units within the critical care service line
- EKG interpretation proficiency
- Core competencies in critical care nursing
Onboarding
Standard credentials include drug screening, immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza), TB screening, fit testing, and competency assessments.
