NICU IV Registered Nurse — Night Shift | Laguna Hills, CA
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (19:00–07:30)
This Level IV NICU opportunity is ideal for an experienced neonatal nurse comfortable managing high-acuity patients in a fast-paced, technology-rich environment. Charge nurse experience is preferred.
About the Unit
Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.
Float Requirements: L&D, with possibility of floating within the unit based on census.
Weekend & Call: No on-call required; weekend shifts scheduled per unit need.
Required Experience & Certifications
- Minimum 3 years of Level III or IV NICU experience
- High-risk delivery attendance
- BLS and Advanced NRP required
- Travel experience required
- California RN license in hand at time of submission
Key Clinical Skills
- High-flow nasal cannula, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, nitric oxide
- IV vasopressors, anti-seizure medications, therapeutic hypothermia
- UAC/UVC/PICC management, arterial line management
- Neonatal abstinence syndrome, sepsis workups, tracheostomy care
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- One professional reference required (within 2 years)
