Pediatric Respiratory Therapist – NICU, PICU, CVICU
Position Overview
Join the respiratory therapy team providing high-level care to pediatric patients in neonatal, pediatric, and cardiovascular intensive care units. This is a 24-week contract (13 weeks still accepted) working day shifts.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-Hour days (07:00–19:30)
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Float assignments to affiliated NICUs as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio RRT license (must be in hand at submission)
- NBRC certification (active)
- BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS (all active and in hand)
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric respiratory therapy experience
- Demonstrated experience in NICU, PICU, and high-acuity level 4 care
Clinical Scope
You'll deliver respiratory support to critically ill neonates, pediatric, and post-cardiac surgery patients across multiple intensive care units. Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway care, and specialized procedures common to these populations.
Important Requirements
- Two professional references (manager, supervisor, or director) from assignments within the past 12 months required
- Complete work history must be submitted
- Nicotine-free/smoke-free facility (no exceptions)
- Negative 10-panel + nicotine drug screen required
- Background check; no license hits accepted
- BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
