Med/Surg Travel Nurse – Nights

Position Overview

Join the facility's Med/Surg nursing team providing direct patient care on a fast-paced unit. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team managing patients across medical, surgical, orthopedic, and neuro specialties.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3x12 or 4x12 (your choice)
• Every other weekend required
• Winter holiday requirement: You must work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). One day off request permitted between 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27.

Clinical Details

• Float to other Med/Surg units required
• Scrubs: Navy blue

Requirements

• Current Iowa nursing license (or compact state license)
• Minimum 1.5 years Med/Surg experience
• Heparin experience required
• Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license
• Current supervisory reference (within 2 years)
• Completed skills checklist specific to Med/Surg

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start dates: 11/9, 11/23, or 12/7, 2026
• Location requirement: Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
