ICU Travel Nurse – Sioux City, IA
Position Overview
The facility's ICU is seeking an experienced nurse to join the interdisciplinary team caring for high-acuity patients including cardiac, trauma, and neuro cases. You'll provide direct patient care, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to a dynamic clinical environment.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
- Weekends: Every third weekend
- Holiday Commitment: Required to work 2 of 3 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); limit of 1 day-off request between 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27
Requirements
- 2+ years of nursing experience
- Active BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or US Military)
- Active ACLS certification (AHA, ARC, or US Military)
- Valid driver's license
- Supervisory reference form (completed within last 2 years)
- ICU-specific skills documentation
Preferred Certifications
- PALS
- TNCC (required if extending contract)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers welcome
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Orientation dates: 12/7 or 12/21
