Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its cardiovascular intensive care unit. You'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill cardiac patients, implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on discharge planning and safe transitions.
Unit & Clinical Scope
The CVICU manages a complex patient population: 80% high-risk cardiac surgery patients (including open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO support) and 20% advanced heart failure patients. You'll monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic devices including IABP, Impella, Swan-Ganz catheters, CCO monitoring, and CRRT.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 hours per week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 17, 2026
- Float Assignments: MICU, SICU, Medical or Cardiac Stepdown Units as needed
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Demonstrated experience with advanced cardiac device therapy management (IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz monitoring at minimum)
- ACLS, BLS, and relevant certifications
- Ability to pass onboarding requirements, including clinical exams and health screenings
