Labor & Delivery Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse to join a collaborative clinical team. You will deliver coordinated care to patients, supervise assigned nursing staff, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams in a supportive healthcare environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 48 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Day shift role
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze patient data; develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery
- Circulate and recover in the operating room; float to postpartum couplet care as needed
- Coordinate care delivery and collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Supervise and delegate nursing staff duties appropriately
- Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education
- Maintain a safe, healing environment
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure in California
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience required
- Current certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN)
- Ability to circulate and recover in the OR and float to postpartum couplet care
