Emergency Department RN — Nights | Craig, CO | 13-Week Contract

This position supports a small, community-focused Emergency Department providing around-the-clock care with two RNs on duty at all times. The role is well-suited for a nurse who thrives in an autonomous environment and is comfortable managing a broad range of presentations across all acuity levels.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift | 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract | Anticipated start: November 30, 2026

Clinical Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans using the nursing process
• Perform , assessment, and emergency interventions across diverse patient populations, including pediatric and neonatal cases
• Coordinate patient transfers, discharges, and referrals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, and clinical condition
• Delegate appropriately to ancillary staff; may precept student nurses and new hires
• Contribute to quality improvement and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

Required Credentials

• Active Colorado RN license or valid Compact license
• BLS (required at hire)
• ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
• PALS or ENPC (within 1 year)
• TNCC (within 1 year)
• STABLE (within 1 year)
• NRP (within 1 year)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or higher
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience
• At least 1 year of ED or critical care experience

Strong critical thinking, prioritization skills, and comfort working with minimal supervision are essential for success in this role.
