CVOR Tech – Cardiothoracic Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to join the surgical team. You'll circulate open heart cases in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting the care team and ensuring smooth case flow.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 4×10 hours (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• On-Call: Requirements to be discussed during interview

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent, full-time CVOR experience
• Current AHA BLS certification (required at time of submission)
• Valid permanent Ohio license or compact license (required at submission)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director who can speak to your CVOR experience (from work within the past 12 months; co-worker references not accepted)
• All required certifications must be active and in hand before start date

Pre-Start Requirements

• Background check review (open cases cannot be accepted)
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Pre-start modules and orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate (maximum 2 attempts to pass)
• Annual hands-on competency requirements may apply based on contract length

You'll work with experienced surgeons and perioperative nurses in an open heart surgery setting. The role demands attention to detail, strong teamwork, and the ability to anticipate surgeon needs in a dynamic OR environment.
