Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Lakewood, CO | 13-Week Contract

This Med-Surg unit cares for a mixed patient population including medical, surgical, and sepsis patients at an acute care level. The unit operates with telemetry monitoring — RNs are expected to independently read their own cardiac strips, with central monitoring support off the unit. Nurse aides are available on the floor, and the charge nurse does not carry a patient assignment.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 6–9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• Holiday and on-call requirements determined by Nursing Manager

Floating

• First to float; may be assigned to float within Zone 3 in cases of extreme need

Clinical Details

• Patient population: Medical, surgical, sepsis
• Common drips: Analgesics, anticoagulants, antihypertensives (set rate; no titration required)
• Respiratory support: Moderate oxygen needs
• BLS (AHA) required

Additional Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks (start date: November 9, 2026)
• Cancellation policy: Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled over a 13-week assignment
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• BSN not required; valid RN license required
• Driver's license must be submitted; must be within 60 miles of the facility
• Clinicians must be on-site for the full week of orientation
