Cardiac/CT Surgery ICU Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced ICU nurse for its cardiac surgery program. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment managing post-operative cardiac surgery patients and those requiring advanced hemodynamic support.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
• Every other weekend rotation
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
• 2 holidays required if working through the winter season
• Weekly orientation
• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Clinical Scope

You'll care for post-cardiac-surgery patients and those on mechanical circulatory support devices (IABP, IMPELLA). Float support between ICU and IMCU is expected.

Requirements

• 2+ years of ICU experience in a similar cardiac/surgical setting
• Demonstrated CT surgery nursing experience
• Proficiency with IABP and IMPELLA devices
• Current BLS-AHA certification
• Current ACLS-AHA certification
• Must have been separated from prior employer for 6+ months
