Physical Therapist Assistant – Acute Inpatient
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for an acute inpatient role working alongside an interdisciplinary team. You'll evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy services to individuals with diverse diagnoses requiring inpatient rehabilitation.
Shift & Schedule
- 8-hour day shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (flexible Saturday hours)
- 13-week contract
- 72 hours guaranteed biweekly (does not include on-call time)
- Orientation every other week
- No float requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and collaborate on individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct physical therapy services across varied diagnoses
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment and progress
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts PTA license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Inpatient physical therapy experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and professionalism
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Important Notes
- Relocation required (must live more than 50 miles from the facility)
- Candidates with prior facility employment must have a six-month separation before consideration
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
- Ready to start November 17, 2026
