Travel RN – Emergency Department | Thornton, CO
Shift: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM | Contract: 13 Weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
This busy Emergency Department in Thornton, CO manages a high volume of patients daily across a fast-paced, multi-acuity environment. The unit is staffed with a collaborative team of RNs, paramedics, EMTs, nurse externs, and unit secretaries across day, mid, and night shifts.
Clinical Scope
Nurses in this ED manage the full spectrum of emergency presentations, including:
- ESI and comprehensive nursing assessments
- Sepsis and stroke screening and interventions
- Trauma activations (level 1 & 2) and MCI response
- Procedural sedation and blood administration
- Pediatric emergency care and behavioral health crisis intervention
- EKG, defibrillation, IV insertion, wound care, splinting, and medication administration
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of current acute care ED RN experience
- Active BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI Blue Card certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior trauma level 1 or 2 experience
- CPI certification
