Cardiac Cath Lab – Des Moines, IA

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab professional for a 13-week contract. You'll work in a high-volume cath lab managing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures across multiple campuses within the Des Moines area.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday (4x10 shifts)
• Random day off during the week
• On-call: 1–2 nights per week + every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday)
• Holiday coverage required (1–2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays, unless unit is closed)

Core Requirements

• 24+ months current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience (required)
• Circulating/monitoring experience (required)
• Trauma Level II experience (required)
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate compact license
• ACLS & BLS (AHA) certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Structural heart experience
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience
• Scrubbing experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Travel nursing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate on varied cardiac cases
• Float across Des Moines campuses as needed to support like units
• Precept as assigned
• Maintain proficiency with clinical protocols and equipment

What We Need From You

• Valid driver's license
• Professional reference (supervisor/manager/CNO from within 24 months, preferred)
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
