Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an RN for a 13-week contract to support a medical-surgical/telemetry float pool. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (7 AM–7 PM) with weekends as scheduled, guaranteed 48 hours per week.
Clinical Scope
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across multiple units
- Interpret cardiac rhythms on Phillips telemetry monitors
- Manage basic telemetry patients within your scope of practice
- Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and respiratory therapy
- Work every-other-weekend rotation (Saturday/Sunday)
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification (required)
- Ability to pass a cardiac rhythm exam
- Valid driver's license (50-mile radius requirement)
- 1–2 shifts of preceptored orientation provided
Facility Support
- Charge nurse available 24/7 (day charge does not take patients; night charge carries a patient load)
- CNAs support all units
- RT manages CPAP and BiPap equipment
- No drip titration required
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Orientation includes 1–2 preceptored shifts. This role allows up to 2 shift cancellations per 13-week contract.
