Medical-Surgical Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced med-surg nurses for 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) on a dynamic acute-care unit. This is a 13-week contract with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
About the Unit
Requirements
- Current RN or LPN license
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- NIHSS certification required for all RNs and LPNs
- ACLS and PALS recommended
- Travel nursing experience required
- Strong med-surg background and clinical flexibility
Schedule & Expectations
- Every other weekend required; night shifts fall Friday–Sunday
- Holiday rotation with permanent staff
- No call or standby
- Floating to other units as needed for support
- Flexible scheduling; manager works with traveler preferences for block scheduling
- Extra shifts may be available
Orientation
3–5 days of unit-specific training covering policies, procedures, charting systems, and departmental protocols.
