About the Unit

This Women's Services unit provides high-quality, patient-centered labor and delivery care using a laborist team model. Dedicated midwives and a CRNA are on-site 24/7, with an OB on call — creating a collaborative, well-supported environment for both staff and patients.

The unit's philosophy centers on personalizing each birth experience. The team actively promotes vaginal birth opportunities and supports individual patient preferences throughout the labor process. Postpartum care follows a couplet model, keeping newborns at the bedside and supporting breastfeeding with access to donor milk when needed. A neonatal nurse practitioner is available around the clock and attends high-risk deliveries as needed.
