Orthopaedic/Trauma RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Orthopaedic/Trauma unit. This 13-week contract offers a stable night shift schedule with guaranteed hours and the opportunity to work with a supportive clinical team.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts and three weekend shifts per schedule period
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Unit Overview
Clinical Scope
- Post-operative monitoring and pain management
- Trauma patient care and assessment
- Use of specialized equipment including traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
- Telemetry monitoring
- Bedside shift reports and hourly rounding per unit standards
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Orthopaedic experience preferred
- Telemetry experience
- NIH protocols knowledge is beneficial
Floating
Contract staff may float to other medical-surgical units (General Medical-Surgical, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma) as needed.
