Occupational Therapist – Travel Position

Location: Dallas, TX

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible options)

Contract Duration: 91 weeks

Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week

Start Date: Tuesday (flexible start dates available)

About the Role

You'll provide occupational therapy services across two clinical settings:

• Inpatient Rehab: Work with stroke and orthopedic patients, delivering intensive therapy (3 hours per day) to help them regain independence and functional skills.
• Acute Care: Support hospitalized patients transitioning to discharge or to the next level of care, assessing functional needs and building discharge plans.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatment planning
• Deliver skilled therapy interventions focused on activities of daily living, mobility, and independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document progress and communicate discharge recommendations
• Work in a supportive clinical environment with consistent patient assignments

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist license (Texas)
• OTR/L certification required
• Strong clinical background in stroke, orthopedic, or acute care rehabilitation preferred
