Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN to join a fast-paced, high-acuity team. You'll provide comprehensive care to patients across a wide spectrum of emergent and urgent conditions, from through discharge or admission.
Key Responsibilities
- and rapidly assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care
- Provide emergency nursing interventions for trauma activations, codes, and acute deterioration
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders and protocols
- Monitor and manage patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Support patient flow and throughput in a high-volume environment
- Uphold infection control, safety, and de-escalation standards
Requirements
- Current RN license (or compact license as applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
- NIHSS certification (required)
- ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)
- Strong knowledge of protocols and high-acuity patient care
Preferred Qualifications
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Shift & Contract
- 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Weekends as needed per unit requirements
- 13-week contract
- Start date: November 22, 2026
