Interventional Radiology Technologist

Shift: Days, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., 5 x 8 hours

About the Role
The facility is seeking a Radiology Technologist with interventional radiology experience to join the special procedures team. You'll apply advanced imaging knowledge to produce high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce diagnostic images using professional knowledge and technique to meet or exceed department standards
- Position patients appropriately and explain exam procedures to relieve patient anxiety
- Apply radiation safety protocols and techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, PACS, and electronic health records systems
- Communicate clearly with patients of all ages and all levels of clinical staff
- Supervise students and trainees providing patient care as part of their education
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education
Required Qualifications
- One year of interventional radiology experience
- State Radiology Technologist License
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality
- Demonstrated commitment to radiation safety and infection control
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT (VI) certification (or willingness to obtain within 18 months)
