Labor & Delivery Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced L&D nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) in the labor and delivery unit, providing comprehensive antepartum and postpartum care while supporting surgical deliveries.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide antepartum and postpartum patient care
- Scrub and circulate for cesarean sections
- Support vaginal and operative deliveries
- Monitor maternal and fetal status
- Assist with neonatal resuscitation as needed
Requirements
- Current RN licensure (New York)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Experience in L&D with demonstrated competency in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Schedule & Commitment
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts
- No call-off policy; 14 days' written notice required for cancellation
- 13-week contract
Additional Information
Prior experience with charting systems preferred. This is a hands-on role in a busy labor and delivery setting where your clinical expertise directly impacts maternal and neonatal outcomes.
