Behavioral Health RN — Night Shift | Linville, NC
This 13-week contract opportunity is an immediate opening for an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse working nights in a psychiatric care setting in Linville, NC.
Schedule
- 3×12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required on a rotating basis
- Float within the facility as needed
Clinical Scope
This role focuses on adult behavioral health and psychiatric nursing, requiring strong assessment skills and the ability to manage patients in crisis. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-acuity psychiatric environment and supporting interdisciplinary care teams.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina or Multistate (Compact) RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- CPI certification — Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from the Crisis Prevention Institute
- Recent experience with a major electronic health record system
Additional Details

- Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from the facility; driver's license required for address verification
