ICU RN — Travel Contract | New York

This 13-week night shift assignment places you in an adult ICU managing high-acuity medical and surgical patients. The unit operates with strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Location: Newark, NY

Requirements

• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Travel experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Charge experience highly preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS — all required

Clinical Skills

• Arterial line and central line management
• PICC line care
• Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade
• IV insulin protocols
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration
• Thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia protocols)
• 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Phlebotomy and IV placement

Orientation

• 12-hour orientation provided on-site
• Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours; first 5 hours billable)
