PCU / Stepdown

Float Pool RN – PCU / MS / MS Tele | Augusta, GA | Night Shift

This is a float pool position requiring flexibility across medical-surgical, telemetry, and progressive care units. Candidates must be comfortable floating between unit types and adapting to varying patient acuity and assignments.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Clinical Scope

• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Diagnoses span the full range of MS, MS/Tele, and PCU conditions
• Nurses perform their own vital sign and blood glucose checks
• Float coverage across multiple MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Georgia RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin and heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, HFNC and non-invasive airway management, tracheostomy care, PICC/central line management, chest tube care, and wound/wound vac management

Scheduling & Expectations

• Weekends: Approximately 6 per 13-week contract (every other weekend)
• RTO: Maximum 7 days per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Holidays: Travelers are expected to work major holidays falling within their assignment period
• Call Requirements: None
• Orientation: 24 hours (no RTO permitted during orientation week)

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
