Respiratory Therapist — Travel Contract

Greensburg, PA | 13-Week Assignment

This position serves a full-spectrum respiratory therapy department supporting patient populations across the lifespan — neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Clinicians will manage high-acuity cases across critical care, general medical, and specialty settings.

Shift Details

• 3 × 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights
• Day shift: 07:00–19:30 | Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• Potential to move to straight days or nights based on ongoing staffing needs
• Weekend coverage required

Clinical Scope

Candidates should be proficient in a broad range of respiratory therapies, including:

• Mechanical ventilation (pressure/volume modes, SIMV, weaning protocols)
• BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Intubation assistance, extubation, and fresh tracheostomy care
• ECMO, ARDS management, and bronchoscopy support
• Aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy (including vest), pulmonary hygiene
• ABG drawing and interpretation, capillary and umbilical blood gases
• Neonatal transports (inter-departmental) and NICU support
• Emergency department respiratory management

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact state license required
• RRT required (CRT may be considered)
• BLS required (AHA only)
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Details

• Float within the facility and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius may be required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisor references preferred
• 24-hour orientation provided
