ICU Travel RN — Lubbock, TX | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract
This opportunity is in a medical intensive care unit caring for adult and geriatric patients across a broad spectrum of high-acuity diagnoses. The unit operates with strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, IV teams, rapid response, and physical therapy.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
- Minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- Holiday commitment required (3 of 5: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- 48-hour weeks pre-approved
- Self-scheduling
Patient Population & Clinical Scope
- Adults and geriatrics
- Diagnoses include sepsis/septic shock, ARDS, respiratory failure, stroke, post-cardiac arrest, MODS, AKI/renal failure, DKA/HHS, and GI/GU disorders
- Procedures include CRRT, ventilator management, arterial line and central line management, vasopressor titration, blood product administration, chemotherapy administration, and continuous IV sedation/paralytic management
Float Requirements
Required Certifications
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Scrub Color
Solid navy blue (no print tops)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- Travel nursing experience required
- Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
- 2 professional references covering the past 3 years required
