Behavioral Health/Psych RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for its behavioral health unit serving adult patients. You'll provide direct patient care in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment focused on mental health and psychiatric treatment.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekdays and every-other-weekend rotation
- Blocked scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
- Holiday time-off requests limited to one of three major holidays per contract
Clinical Scope
Interdisciplinary support includes phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year RN experience (behavioral health experience preferred)
- Current RN license (West Virginia or compact; pending licenses acceptable)
- BLS, CPI, and First Aid certification (CPI and First Aid can be obtained during orientation)
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- WV fingerprinting completed 7–10 business days before start (state requirement)
Contract Details
- 13 weeks with possible extension
- Orientation: Mondays, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Navy or Royal Blue scrubs provided
- Strict attendance policy; 3+ consecutive absences require physician clearance
