CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) | Greenville, SC | 13-Week Contract

This is an active, high-acuity cardiovascular OR position for an experienced CST ready to scrub complex cardiac cases in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days, 4x10-hour shifts (06:00–16:30)
• On-call required: minimum two call days per week; 1–2 call weekends per 6-week schedule (Fridays and Sundays)
• Facility may cancel up to one shift per two-week period

Clinical Scope

The CVOR averages approximately three cardiac cases per day. Procedures include CABG, mitral valve replacement, aortic aneurysm repair, atherectomy, ASD repair, pericardial window, ECMO, and VAD management. First assist roles are expected. Familiarity with mesh measuring and additional timeout protocols for retained/foreign objects is required.

Float Requirement

Floating is required per facility policy. If CVOR volume is low, staff may float to the main OR. All float assignments are limited to units for which the clinician has demonstrated, documented competency.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
• Prior trauma-level surgical experience required
• Active CST certification through NBSTSA (no pending certifications accepted)
• BLS required
• No first-time travelers; travel experience is required
• Non-local candidates only (radius rule applies — confirm eligibility before applying)
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
