Respiratory Therapist – 3x12 Day Shift
About the Role
The facility's Respiratory Care Department provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, and management of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies across general and acute care settings. You'll deliver pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, perform diagnostic testing, and provide patient education.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-Hour Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekdays with some weekend shifts
- Float required within scope to meet facility needs
- Guaranteed 72–80 hours per pay period
- 13-week contract
- Orientations held every other Monday
Required Qualifications
- Current WV state license (RRT or CRT); pending license accepted
- Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
- BLS, ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- PALS preferred
- Two professional references (manager or charge nurse) from the past 2 years
Clinical Scope
You'll manage adult and pediatric patients in critical care and general care settings, including:
- Mechanical ventilation and weaning
- High-flow nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP
- Airway management (placement, suctioning, tracheostomy care)
- Bronchoscopy assistance
- ABG interpretation
- Aerosol delivery and pulmonary hygiene
- Emergency department support
