Med Surg Tele

Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Charleston, WV

This telemetry-focused Med/Surg unit cares for a diverse patient population including cardiac, vascular, surgical, and pulmonary cases. Nurses deliver close monitoring and skilled intervention for patients requiring telemetry surveillance across a range of acuity levels.

Schedule & Contract

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3×12-hour shifts
• Weekdays with every other weekend required
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week contract
• Orientation held every other Thursday

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• First-time travelers considered if experience requirements are met
• WV or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at time of submission)
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility (75–99 miles reviewed case-by-case)

Required Certifications *(AHA-issued)*

• BLS/BCLS
• ACLS

Additional Details

• Float within clinical scope may be required
• Scrub color: Royal Blue or White (RN)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemption with documented allergist or physician record accepted); required October 1 – March 31
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Blocked schedule requests cannot be guaranteed
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required at submission
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 2 years before returning as a traveler
