Intermediate Care (IMC) RN — Travel Contract | Charleston, WV

This Intermediate Care Unit assignment offers a clinically diverse caseload spanning cardiac, pulmonary, renal, GI, and sepsis diagnoses — both chronic and acute — with a primarily medical patient population and some surgical cases. The unit is well-supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, physical therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, and more.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: Days, 3×12-hour (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• 36- or 48-hour contract options; 36 hours guaranteed
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Orientation held every other Thursday (16 hours)

Patient Population

• Adults and geriatrics
• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and ventilator management required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA-issued)
• Telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and ventilator management experience required
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility (75–99 miles considered on a case-by-case basis)
• 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• COVID-19 vaccine: medical/religious exemptions considered case by case
