Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Charleston, WV | 13-Week Contract

This Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit cares for a diverse adult population with illness severity ranging from uncomplicated to sub-critical. All beds are monitored, and the unit regularly manages post-operative transplant patients alongside patients presenting with cardiac, pulmonary, and surgical diagnoses — including COPD, chest pain, diabetes, overflow neurology, overflow orthopedics, and post-surgical recovery.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour days, 07:00–19:00
• Weekdays with every other weekend required
• Contract options: 36 or 48 hours per week (OT after 48 hrs on a 4x12 schedule)

Clinical Scope

• Central line draws, chest tube management, CPAP/BiPAP
• Vasoactive and cardiac drips (cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, heparin)
• Telemetry monitoring with monitor tech support; IV team available

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year in Med/Surg or Telemetry
• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA-issued)
• Float within clinical scope as needed
