Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Maryville, TN

Shift: Nights | 3×12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 16, 2026

This Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit cares for an adult and geriatric population with a mix of general medical, pre- and post-operative, and post-cardiac catheterization patients. The unit supports a range of bedside procedures including dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D).

Clinical Skills Required:

• Central line and PICC line care/management
• Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin protocols and cardiac drip management (no titration)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Blood product administration and port access/management
• PCA, peripheral IV initiation and maintenance
• Wound care/wound vac
• Oxygen administration including nasal cannula and tanks

Schedule & Float:

• Every other weekend coverage (subject to change based on unit need)
• Float to similar qualified units may be required

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Active RN license — Tennessee
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Minimum Experience:

• 1 year Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Electronic health record experience required (minimum 1 year)
• First-time travelers considered based on experience

Onboarding Notes:

• Orientation held every Monday
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Extension beyond three consecutive 13-week contracts is not permitted
